Twelve female architects from Ukraine for International Women's Day

08 of March '22

The initiators of BAL_architektek decided to celebrate International Women's Day in a unique way by presenting twelve female architects from Ukraine.

BAL_architektek is a grassroots initiative of female architects Dominika Janicka, Barbara Nawrocki and Dominika Wilczynska, which seeks to change the thinking about the architectural profession. The creators of the initiative emphasize above all the underestimated role of women in the sphere of architecture, which should change. We wrote about the initiative on the portal (See here!) and the creators were interviewed by Łukasz Harat (See here!).

On International Women's Day, which falls today, we are still witnessing Russia's brutal, barbaric aggression in Ukraine. BAL_architectresses decided to present a list of twelve great female architects from Ukraine, which we present below. They include owners of architecture and interior design studios, creators of international brands or local activists.

We remind you of the opportunity to support Ukraine - we presented a list of verified collections (See here!).
