Construction officially began on January 10. The building under construction is to cover an area of 20,000 square meters, with six studio modules of 1,350, 1,200 and 560 square meters planned. Each of them will have a backstage, dressing rooms, a director's room, offices, equipment storage. The recording infrastructure will be complemented by a bistro, storage facilities, parking and an outdoor studio on the roof. The hall is scheduled for completion in 2024.

We've unleashed this machine and we won't stop! The shooting hall, the construction of which we are symbolically starting today, is a facility that will give television production a whole new dimension, leave the competition far behind, introduce a new quality in Polish Television's production, and above all - make us independent of external suppliers. We will be self-sufficient. We will employ our people for our productions and use our technological resources.

Polish Television CEO Jacek Kurski.

The building is being constructed under the design and build formula by DORACO, the general contractor of the shooting hall. The PIG Architects studio from the capital is responsible for its architectural design. This is the third version of the architectural concept for the building; the previous two were proposed by Perspektywa Pracownia Projektowa from Cracow. The current design is a simple block, largely devoid of windows, which gives it a bunker-like character. Larger glazing appears in the entrance area. An outdoor LED screen is to be placed next to it, allowing projections with a three-dimensional effect.
